Britt DiNatale is a second-degree nurse who spent a decade delivering nursing care in Emergency Departments around the Washington DC metro area following a successful executive-level career in corporate marketing and communications. In recent years, Britt has contributed to the VA's Office of Healthcare Transformation, directed ANA's Project Firstline, and executed delivery of the Practicing Excellence micro-learning education platform to support skill development among teams in major healthcare systems nationwide.
Britt also co-created and facilitated a novel nurse leadership development program that trained numerous cohorts of nurses across the country to gain confidence in a wide range of skills from engaging teams, to navigating change, and communicating effectively. This program was instrumental in recognizing the development of nurse managers as transformational leaders with increased engagement and retention of the nursing workforce.
The thread running throughout Britt’s career is a passion to give the healthcare workforce, and particularly nurses, a voice, advocating for an improved work environment, reconnecting with the purpose and meaning of their work, and seeing nurses as change agents in needed healthcare transformation.
Britt also sits on ANA’s National Workplace Violence Prevention Committee and continues to follow her passion for musical performance by sitting on the Board of Trustees for Music for All Seasons, a non-profit using the power of live music to support communities in need.
